Far Away Hills are Green, alternately titled, Some Good Craic

Yay! The Long-overdue Ireland entry! I don't even know where to start.I spent April 25- May 1 in the motherland with my sister/ best friend Brfdfdfighid Caitlin Poplar and we could not have had a better time. We started in Dublin, then made our way the Aran Islands, then to Galway, then to Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher, then made our way back to Dublin to fly out (boo!). It was a completely-packed, completely-perfect trip and we are already planning our Irish return! The people were fantastic, the cities were fun, the landscape was beyond gorgeous... we both fell a little bit in love with the country.

Dublin greeted us with a rainbow... and things only went up from there!

We stayed in Galway and from there made our way to the Aran Islands.

The Aran Islands were actually my favorite part of the entire trip. We took a ferry over to Inis Mór, the largest of the islands and spent a day there. We wanted to bicycle around, but it was typical Irish weather- alternately raining and overcast. We decided to do a van tour instead, which actually turned out to be fantastic- we loved the guide and we got to see the Island comfortably (and we were dry!). Even through such bad weather, the island was the most beautiful place I have ever seen.

From Galway we headed to Doolin. The bus dropped us off literally in front of our B&B- the first sign that this town was good news. We went almost immediately up to the Cliffs of Moher, which were SO FANTASTIC I can't even describe them.
